The restaurant is located in an old wine cellar on the south bank of the river (Gaia). Beautiful granite walls and fantastic views over the river to the north Bank (Porto). It is pricey, but you are really paying for the setting and the view. The food was good but certainly not worth the price. My main course was fillet mignon it arrived with a grey colour throughout, almost as it it has been boiled a bit, as opposed to seared on a hot pan. No sign of caramelisation whatsover. It tasted as it looked rather forgetful. The starters etc were good.Glad I went, but doubt if I will return. It was interesting to note that all the other tables in the restaurant that night were foreigners. I did not hear Portuguese being spoken anywhere. As they say, when it comes to food, go where the locals eat...
