Following a business meeting that lasted longer than expected, we went on a quest to find a decent restaurant to eat and continue discussions. We ended up here, and decided to stay due to the nice environment we observed. We ordered a bacalao a bras for two which was excellent! I must note that the service was very good, and staf very polite. The brought us some starters (chease and ham) with some baked and raw bread slices. We also had a bottle of green wine, which was fantastic. Following our great dinner i tried a pudding desert which came with some lemmon ice cream! I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely phenomenal historical place, serving the amazing northern Portuguese cuisine at its best, with the customary warm and familial service of Minho. To set it apart from all others, in our last visit we were having a conversation about what a cod fish dish was called and were shared the name, history and context by the host. Every time I come to Braga, if time permits, I will want to return and there is no good reason why I wouldn't: top notch food and service for an almost symbolic price. (Share portions if you're not a big eater. It'll break your heart to have to send half the uneaten delicious food back after you're full to them brim)
This a family owned restaurant where the service is as wonderful as the food. Fresh, authentic and simply wonderful food. If you don't stop here you will missed an incredible experience. Jeffrey Lewis
Best codfish I had in a while. Very familiar environment and high quality traditional food. A absolute must visit in Braga.
Good Portuguese traditional food in the heart of Braga, close to the Porta Nova area. Tasteful food with a nice choice of entrées including cheese and sausages from the region. Desserts are from the local cuisine, incredibly delicious. Staff friendly and helpful and a nice chart of wines. As I was in a business reception dinner, I can say the service was impeccable.
The cod dish was excellent, especially the potatoes. The roast kid was dry and bony. When we sat down we were served meats, 3 small cheeses and bread. These were very expensive, each cheese was 5 euros. We paid a lot of money for food we didn’t order or want. Desserts were very sweet. I would never go back, except for the potatoes.
