Carmina De Matos em Coimbra

Sweet little cafe located very close to Santa Cruz church.We were there off season and very shortly after Portugal had begun to see tourists in between COVID variants) so for most of our meal we were the only people in the place. Lovely modern, urban vibe, wait staff clearly aiming to please and lots of good choices for food. We started with the usual olives and bread which were welcomed on a cold drizzly evening. Hubs had hearty veggie soup and bacalao which he raved about; I enjoyed shrimp(s) in garlic sauce and tomato corn salad along with a glass of local vino. we ended our meals with warm espressos.Very well priced and welcoming experience.

Amazing hospitality, food and cocktails. In a very central location.

the restaurant looks good, we stopped to have just a few small bites before the tour. tested oktopus, which was good.

Good, however relatively expensive.

The food is excellent. The ambient temperature is high. Really warm. And service staff is not friendly. However the food was really amazing.

Good place to eat, good food and faor prices

Really beautiful place with a roof terrace overlooking the main square and the church. It was quiet, not many people here. The staff was professional and quiet. We only ordered drinks and enjoyed the view. They offered Rosenportowein, who was delicious. Good place for a beer or wine in the evening.
