This is a trendy and popular traditional Portuguese seafood restaurant with a slightly confusing menu (if you're not used to it) and fast service. The atmosphere is jolly and many people talking to their table neighbours. Be prepared to go bold and order lots of different shellfish you haven't tried before (I didn't and slightly regretted it). Some say you should wash it all down with a steak sandwich. This is no place for desserts. The fish is very fresh.

now, I stay in this hotel next door and I have watched the waits every night, so I decided to go on my own and she underwent my needs it was great that she found me a crab for one if I can say - the garnel and the crab was amazing oyster too - was disappointed by my muscheln as it was a small portion for €14- the same price as my krab

Shellfish was amazing. In fact, the tiger shrimps were the most dense and sweetest meat I've ever had. The rest of the food came quite fast, even if you consider the restaurant was pretty busy, but not full. On this note I used the restaurant website and the previous three times I had tried it always indicated that it was completely booked. On this occasion, we just turned on the door and they let us in. Is it the best place in Lisbon to eat mussels?, I think like any restaurant nowadays that gets a lot of attention in social media, things are very quickly hypeded. It's not the cheapest and it has a reputation maybe thanks to the exposure, but the food was as good as 7 years ago, so if you in the city and you want to do it!

You're going to Ramro for a reason. Not for the ambience, a multi-course traditional meal or to entertain. They eat clams. They are not in Australia, Apan or the United States. They're in Portugal. The shellfish are always fresh and well prepared. The only side is bread or roasted bread with butter. The wines are modestly expensive and go well with the shellfish, which is always well prepared. We had a 4 lb rock lobster this week, which was absolutely delicious despite its size. People go to Ramiro's to eat the best of shellfish simply prepared. ti is not a glamrous experience, but it is an extraordinary year out and year out.. We've been coming to Ramiros for many years and we never failed. Yeah, we enjoy good food. In fact, we dine every day, no matter where we are in the world, including at home, but when we are in Lisbon, we always eat at Ramiros several times during our stay.

Really a 4.5 stop from Ramiro, as it was one of the places where Anthony Bourdain visited when he was in Portugal, though a humble space at the time. I...
