excellent room, high quality food and very tasty. highly recommended for a large francesinha in coimbra
the server does not speak English although he claims to speak English. we were a group of four, decided to share two participants, ordered a wein, I asked a sangria and they brought a liter without confirming us. only one person wanted to drink the sangria and they brought a liter when we realized that it was a glass, one liter was taken away and he poured a glass in the opposite. when we paid the bill, the server told us that he would calculate the one liter I thought was unfair because he would have refilled my glass if I were charged. they knew we were tourist and I felt like I was going out. eating is not excellent in average, they can find it everywhere in coimbra, maybe even better. they do not accept an international credit card and we were forced to pay money.

Really good typical food for a very good price! A bit annoying that you can only pay by card if it's a Portuguese card... But still I recommend this restaurant! Just bring some cash!

average restaurant in coimbra. francesinhas are famous (nor as much as the atenas caffe although) and quite solid. tested the vegetarian and it was ok, but not great. service was good.
delicious francesinha, in any case you should try when in coimbra, with a rich and light spicy sauce, delicious pork filling and the perfect egg above. the great francesinha could be good enough to not share too hungry, contains a side of fries. fair price, good and friendly service with a cool environment. they only open at night and accept Portuguese debit/credit card.
