terrible service, didn't know how to cook fish properly. the food tasted nothing but seawater. parts of our order forgotten. not attentive during our meal. If they want a terrible football café, they'll go here.

this restaurant makes one of the most delicious crispy salmon of all time! you can spend more than 3 hours here especially with good business!

eating was disgusting. we ordered the cod and heavy fish, both were € 12.50 plus 13% tax, and a waste of money. the cod was drowned in butter. the heavy fish was dry, and came with an glittery butter / wobble. the sweet was overcooked and soggy. the service was terrible. the only reason we came in was that the restaurant we wanted to go was closed and it was raining, so we thought we would try. great disgusting and unusable. go somewhere else.

The food was tasteless and soaked in butter. We ordered the cod and sword fish and we couldn't eat either. It's disgusting. Don't eat here.

We arrived fairly early but was seated right by the door which although August became chilly after a while. We waited and plates, bread and menus were literally thrown on the table by the waiter in his haste. We ordered sardines, pork and salmon. Pate...and bread arrived whilst we waited for the main course plus a jug of sangria. As we sat waiting another waiter arrived and tried to hand us back the menus, he eventually understood we had ordered but from then on it was chaotic. people arrived and they just could not cope. The lady doing the seating kept wandering off and then made a list and sent people away. The waiter who was in a rush carried on rushing, throwing plates on tables and eventually dropping things. Another waiter brought our meal and the rice was freezing and undercooked, the potatoes were cold and the veg soggy and cold. We tried to explain and were served one portion of warm rice . A lady at another table sent hers back, same reason and received a salad! The salmon was good and a large portion but we left all the accompaniments. The sardines were not. They tasted gritty and stale. We left all the veg, rice, potatoes, chips and most of the sardines. No one picked up on it, no one asked what was wrong. The plates were swept away no questions asked. We then waited a good 20 -30 minutes to pay. We were then asked why we were waiting by the lady doing the seating! I don't think this restaurant can cope with high season and we definitely will not revisit. We came away hungry and went somewhere else for dessert. We felt greatly disappointed. One to avoid.

The food was fairly basic, ordered swordfish and it had a overpowering fishy taste probably from the dirty grill it had been cooked on. The waiters were rushed off their feet and seemed a little fraught with the owner. Having people rushing past you laying...tables and huge numbers of people milling around waiting to be seated didn’t make for a particularly relaxing dining experience. Asked for the bill three times and ended up going up to the counter to pay after half an hours wait. My partners steak was better but still fairly crude. They brought over a starter of olives, cheese, bread and pate in a long life packet which wasn’t directly requested but listed as individual items on the menu. Didn’t eat the pate or spreadable cheese but was still charged for it all. Wouldn’t recommend when there’s a number or better restaurants on the same road.

This is one of many established seafood restaurants close to Peniche harbour and we tend to come back despite lots of other places. The fish and seafood is really fresh and have visited many times. Due to the number of restaurants the prices are quite...competitive. It tends to get v busy around 7.30pm so recommend earlier if you want better service. Good wine list. Recommended!
