with my parents I went there twice as there are not so many restaurants with a variation of vegetarian/ vegan options in the opposite. in most restaurants is the only thing that is vegetarian, fries and a very simple salad (blettuce, 2 slices tomato and 1 oliven however, this restaurant takes much more up for vegetarian and vegan! on the chalkboard they have a special veggie area. on the first day I had the morrocan tajine with couscous, which was very well flavored with a good amount of oil. it felt like a varied dish. I also tasted the vegan caco do bolo, which was quite good (although the original caco do bolo today tasted somewhat better I think and for dessert I had vegan crumbs that I also liked. it was funny that I was tricked to think it was with cranberries, but actually it was with apples and strawberries. Today I had to borrow the kartoffel. they were in a juicy sauce and I liked it had a little salate. the salat could have been a bit more varied, but for Madeira standards it is nice. if I had to decide to recommend a dish, I would go for the tajine: I am still very curious about the taste of vegetarian spaghetti bolognese! the service was good, the people were friendly and if we wanted something extra, they gladly helped. the waiting time was not very long.
