Realmente em Queluz

We were staying with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson (18 months old) who live nearby in Belas. We decided to visit this restaurant based upon reviews we had seen. Our visit was for a mid-week lunch and the restaurant was full with local business people, which is always a good sign. The staff made us very welcome and quickly prepared a table complete with high chair. Food was excellent with a great choice of Portuguese dishes and the wine was of good quality and at very reasonable prices. If you visit Queluz and you wish to eat I suggest you visit Realmente.

If you stay at night in the hotel "Pousada D. Maria II", this restaurant is the right place for tasting Portuguese cuisine. You can start with octopus salat and continue with a steak. For dessert, try the creme brûlée. Enjoy the house wine, glass or jar, from Paulo Laureano vineyards.

We ate at Realmente in the evening and had an excellent meal served with care and panache. The setting in Queluz is opposite the Palace and the Pousada, where we were staying. The following evening, we called in just for a drink and again the staff were delightful. So in short; thoroughly recommended for a meal of a drink.

The last meal of our two week trip to Portugal was at this restaurant tucked away in a small residential corner across the road from the Royal Palace in Queluz. We had many delicious meals in Portugal, but this was one of the best!Creative, unpretentious and beautully prepared, the large portions reminded us of what a creative home cook would bring to the table. After assorted appetizers - olives, fish and olive pates, mussels in tomatoey sauce and a huge salad, our party of four had really melt in your mouth grilled octopus, monkfish in a spicy creamy sauce, and a generously seasoned chicken curry. The white sangria was bright and refreshing, an easy guzzle. Creamy chocolate and lime mouses were flavorful and light. The dining room was contemporary, our waiter was friendly and helpful,and the restaurant was filled with Portuguese families obviously enjoying their dinners, and the bill was under 100€.Would go out of my way to eat there....yes, it was that good.

We had dinner twice at realmente, because we liked it very much. The young lady serving is very friendly and helpful. She advised us well about the wine accompanying the food. The food is tasty and the price-quality is good: good value for your money

Realmente choice was made on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews. The only thing notable about the dinner was the white wine, everything else was not worth eating

Beautiful setting right near the palace. Food was reasonably priced but a bit over-ambitious. Quail and sausage dish was great but salmon and vegetables was too much undercooked pastry crust and not enough salmon

You walk in through the Café to access the restaurant which is what we tried before a night concert at Palacio de Queluz. This is the closest we have come to Gastronomy in Portugal. Room is neat, service is discreet but efficient and food was...great. Felt more like France than Portugal , except it is half price
