The last meal of our two week trip to Portugal was at this restaurant tucked away in a small residential corner across the road from the Royal Palace in Queluz. We had many delicious meals in Portugal, but this was one of the best!Creative, unpretentious and beautully prepared, the large portions reminded us of what a creative home cook would bring to the table. After assorted appetizers - olives, fish and olive pates, mussels in tomatoey sauce and a huge salad, our party of four had really melt in your mouth grilled octopus, monkfish in a spicy creamy sauce, and a generously seasoned chicken curry. The white sangria was bright and refreshing, an easy guzzle. Creamy chocolate and lime mouses were flavorful and light. The dining room was contemporary, our waiter was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was filled with Portuguese families obviously enjoying their dinners, and the bill was under 100€.Would go out of my way to eat there....yes, it was that good.
