A splendid garden dining area but as ever smokers are outside. The inside is delightful. Mine host most welcoming. The food was excellent. His cold white wine was crisp and Portuguese (I took away 5ltrs). The pork starter was rich and the other two pulse starters tasty. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that my taste would have had a salad in place of the black eye pea dish. The steak which fed three was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chocolate mouse rounded the meal. It was well worth the 84 Kms drive there and back from Saucelle. P.SDo remember Portugal is an hour different to Spain. P.P.S. Street parking around the restaurant was easy and free.
Great place to dine and relax! Excellent customer service by the owner (he speaks English) and very good food. The portions are big and very reasonably priced! Definitely recommend!
Such a fabulous place for lunch. Must order the cod! The Pannacota for Dessert is excellent. Wonderful, warm and friendly service. Muito bom, obrigado!!
Not recommended. We stumbled over this place on the way to Porto and we decided to go for lunch after we saw that they were a daily menu for 10euro during the week (segunda a sexta Feira Monday to Friday). It was Wednesday. We went in and asked for the menu of the day and they told us that they did not have that day, although on the menu outside it was advertised as if they did. Anyway, we still went in and got a meat dish and cod, the only reason I gave this was because the food was good. The server basically threw the food on the table and I tried to speak as much Portuguese as I am able, and he asked his co-worker what is wrong with these two and she replied “they are expats” he only rolled his eyes and said of course they are. I fully understood this conversation and was a little insulted. Then the bill came and fortunately I read it as they had tried to us for something we didn't eat... So personally I do not RECOMMEND this place.
Very good place to eat, beautiful place with very funny owners. Recomnended food bacalhau, posta and picanha.
My cutlery was dirty. The glass of wine I ordered was dirty. The food is good and the price is neither high nor low.
