The best food in Madeira. Fresh ingredients, carefull and very tasteful cooking. Unsurpassed kindness and care to the costumer. Very nice environement and wonderfull view. To visit again, with good friends. A must !!

The staff are almost family! The food was all grown on the farm below or 'regional' and excellent. The salad was a work of art! Our M3A group all went home full and happy Thanks to the staff!

We stumbled across this place by accident last time we were in Madeira after a gruelling levada walk from Camache. We weren't sure if it was open when we found it but were welcomed in and provided with fantastic food. The best steak sandwich ever. Therefore we went back again on our recent visit after doing the same walk, again fantastic food and service. We were so impressed we asked about the evening menu and how easy it would be to get there from our hotel in Funchall. We were then informed by the owners son that they would come and get us if we wanted. Therefore we made arrangements to go back a couple of days later and dead on time all seven of us were collected from our hotel in a mini bus driven by another son. Being low season and mid week we were the only ones in the restaurant with a few locals in the bar. I cant remember what everyone had from the small verbal menu but we were all delighted with what we got. I do remember the huge fantastic salad which was provided as an accompaniment. It looked great and tasted great as did everything else. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, great food, wine and beer. Great staff as well. This is a good honest local bar and Restaurant. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We stopped here for a late lunch after a tough downhill walk in the rain. Was really quiet when we arrived so wasn’t entirely sure it was open but thankfully it was. The food was really good: my pork in wine and garlic was so...tasty and tender, and my friends enjoyed their chicken skewers. The house salad was also really good. And to top it all, a lovely sea view

The restaurant composed of a bar and huge conservatory where you can dine and hosts one of the most beautiful views of the landscape, making you feel as though you are very much in ‘proper Madiera’. The same is said of the food, all of...which is served in a traditional Madieran style right infront of you as it is cooked in a big open wooden fire. The chef even came out to check that everything was okay for us. We had the scabbard fish, chicken on a skewer which also was cooked in the open fire and octopus salad. All of which was beautifully presented and cooked from scratch . The food and the service was very good and an English menu is also presented. All in all a lovely meal

Typical Madeira food. stars plus! The fish and the meat are delicious! On the top the dessert! Best restaurant here
