So Espeto em Santa Cruz

I went back to one of the restaurants to which I like to return, just to get excited with what I always seek, the regional espetada with bones, the best meat of the piece. always with this delicious fat that makes the meat tenderer. very well fed and grilled. in the supplements is the fried mais one of the good ones that can be eaten on the island, the rest leaves something to be desired, but it is in this and in each other. where the supplements are really the weak point of them all. I paid per person, only with a few beers and coffees that is normal in restaurants of this type. I'll be back!

service not particularly dedicated. grill was good. octopus was okay. scabbard was easy to eat. very limited selection of “glass of wine”. in bottle very wide.

was already several times in the previous location near the inner city of funchal and had always great food. for the first time at this place, which is housed in a former home. beautiful building with a sitting area in the open next to a poor / fountain. a very large restaurant. there is. parking next to the building, we were there on a Monday and a few open places, but I can imagine that it is full of the weekend. ordered the traditional espetada with sides of milho, french fries, salat sweet kartoffel. the meat was good, although some of the “good” pieces were more like medium. the sides were very good. the service was good and fast.

The bone in Espetada is for the beef lovers. With bone fatty tender beef. Loved it! Nice outdoor area! My wife had the pork on the oven, with crispy skin! Will definitely come back!

Visited for lunch with a friend, delightful open air dining area, unfortunately planes coming in to land overhead produce noise and kerosene fumes! I had chicken espetada which was reasonably priced and quite good, however my husband had the beef espetada on the bone, which...is exactly what it is, mainly bone and gristle. Surprisingly this cost more than the normal beef espetada. We complained but they weren’t interested. The cerveza was good, served in a large goblet and reasonably priced.
