we stopped to go to lunch at the algarve and enjoyed the most amazing cable dish for lunch. beautiful friendly staff and stunning eating. a little more than usual, but it was worth it.
Main dishes are around 20€ and steak is 25€. Although the food was tasty we thought that the steak was definitely the most overpriced. Most dishes come with “farofa” or “migas” that mention they include linguiça or mushrooms but we think it would be nicer to actually serve these on the plate instead of just the crumb. The fries are sliced potato crisps (not stick fries) although not mentioned on the menu. A single ball of ice cream that had ice in the middle is 8€. Ouch. Can you blame inflation for these prices? No way. Unfortunately we won’t be back if things stay the same.
We went for Sunday dinner which was good. We had the mushroom and veggies risotto and the pataniscas de bacalhau it was good but not soo much the desert which was too sweet, a tarde merengada de limão. The service was nice.
The waitresses are friendly and the environment is well decorated. We waited around 30 minutes for 5 dishes, which I consider to be a reasonable amount of time. I ordered shrimp risotto and it had quite a strong flavor, which cost around 20€. However, the food options are limited, as well as the desserts, and the prices are quite high (however, they correspond to what is served).

Nice atmosphere. We were looking forward to trying cod in Portugal and we left with the desire because the portion was minimal, less than a tapa in Spain, when they charge you 20 euros for the dish. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–25 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
