Baju em Porto

I had only one beer and this delicious biscuit cake, and the cake was absolutely amazing. I recommend tasting this dessert. It tasted very homemade, creamy and not too sweet with egg flavor. Perfect! The stuff was very professional, efficient and friendly.

food quality very disappointing; Vegetables cooked soft and mouthful sand during chewing. The meat was often chewing and rode in overwhelming black peppercorns. Service was nice. Overall, an expensive dinner with disappointing food quality.

Actually, one of the better meat restaurants in Porto with prices that are more friendly to the bag. Staff here do everything they can to please you, it is a family business that they are proud of their food. I would not recommend the Francesinha sandwich, but it is not a highlight that it seems to be on every menu, but the meat dishes here were definitely worth it. The dessert, a Portuguese cake Custard style speciality that makes them in the house was really good.

The food was delicious at a good price. Everything was positive. Although a cheese serves as a starter a processed cheese in the small plastic box.

Both meat and vegetarian Francesinha were terrible. I'm from Porto and I got very disappointed. The waiter was nice but the chef a little rude and they kept pressuring us to be quick. The service in general was very bad and overpriced

Visited here for light bite as it was the only place that had pretty much all their tables free outside (the restaurants either side were all super busy). We ordered two beers, the bread basket and butter, cheese, and the croquettes. The waiter then said rudely ‘is that all? We are a restaurant.. we usually wouldn’t allow such a small order’ and walked off. We were totally confused at this point. When the bread and cheese finally came out, the ‘cheese’ was two of those 2cm spreadable plastic cheeses you get on an aeroplane, as was the butter. Weird, as the cheese and butter is on the menu as two separate items, at an extortionate cost for what it is. The croquettes never came. After this bad, bad experience and upon reading reviews on here, we now realise this is why they were the only restaurant on the square that wasn’t busy.

The francesinha was great, the staff a little disorganized but it made up for the delay, as the francesinha was fabulous... We have to go back

Not happy with our experience. My wife ordered veal and I ordered steak filet. Both looked nice and appealing. However the steak was tough and chewy. It was not prepared as requested. The veal. While more tender than the filet, did not look like any veal I have ever seen. Both platters and servings became cold quickly.I think the dishes were not hot when served. I complained to the waiter who told me that these were prepared in traditional Portuguese style. He said that I was the first complaint he had in a year. After a week of eating in restaurants in Portugal, this was the most disappointing meal we experienced.
