Delhi Darbar em Caldas da Rainha

Fast to be served, good food really delicious , super nice and kind staff, average prices. A lot of vegetarian options. Overall great ♥️

The food is excellent in big portions and the right mixing of scents and spices, all for a more than fair price.Neither balsmati rice nor naan bread come with the food, they have to be ordered separately.The mango lassi came with strawberry syrup instead of cardamom, it looked like a toddler's drink!The hot sauce served with the naan bread wasn't that hot and it was much hotter than my dished, asked to be very hot - why don't they trust us when we say we want it very hot?And I missed the fennel seeds at the end, along with the bill.All in all, a place to come back to anyway, no doubt!

Foz do Arelho has a newly opened restaurant Monte Horeb. It is in a wonderful park overlooking the lagoon. It opened in June 2017 and isn't yet listed on Trip Advisor.In order to open one's eyes to gourmet Indian at a good price, I had to add this as a comparison to a recent visit to Delhi Darbar, which has been around for years. Delhi Darbar has Indian cuisine, but it is utterly pedestrian. Monte Horeb is just the opposite.Monte Horeb has a more limited menu but everything is more flavorful and freshly made. We won't be going again to Delhi Darbar as the taste difference is enormous. Not being an Indian food aficionado, I went with a friend who really liked Indian food. At Delhi Darbar, we ate but didn't clean our plates. Here, we ate everything and they have a wonderful local Portuguese melon (here it is called "white melon") which we had for dessert.We tried to get them to split one portion but it was too much. If you don't want a whole slice, make a point of asking them to really just splitting a 'small' piece.Anyway, all was delicious. Oh yes, they have a much better wine list than Delhi Darbar.

The service and food here are absolutely first class! My partner had lamb madras and I had the veggie curry - both were so tasty! The garlic nan bread was super good too. I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!

Absoluut fantastisch restaurant. We hebben de Delhi Darbar Mix (voor 2) als starter genomen....... heerlijk.Als hoofdgerechten lam jalfrezi, kip tikka, paddestoelenrijst, naan en een peshawari naan (met kokos) en alles was even lekker en verzorgd.Bediening vriendelijk voorkomend en alert. Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We took the Delhi Darbar mix for 2 as a starter delicious!!!As main we had lamb jalfrezi, chicken tikka, mushroom rice, naan and peshawari naan and everthing was great, tasty and very well presented.Service friendly, attentive.We did order a bit much as the waiter told us, but now we have a nice lunch tomorrow as well

Every year my month stay in Caldas brings me to my fav Delhi darbar .It feels like home and the food is simply,Indian like me ! Here makes me feel whole again. Thank you.

This is by far the best asian (indian) restaurant in Portugal. The stuff is always nice and friendly. The food is the most delicious indian food I have ever eaten. You can have everything, from porc, chicken, lamb to vergi food. There is more and less spicy food, and you can order the most spiciest food on the menu without any spicey in it and they will do it for you. The starters as well as the soups are soooo delicious!! I am getting hungry again while writing this. I eat there every time I am in Caldas Da Rainha.

Fantastic meal! Highly recommend!! We loved everything we ordered - garlic naan, chicken madras, veggie curry, basmati rice and house wine. Such a good value too!!
