the restaurant is specialized in meat dishes of the region. there is a lot of diversity. I had grilled kidps that were made very nice. the companion brokkoli was tired and overboiled, and the baked carrots warmed up. but in this restaurant is the flesh of the star. the show, and the star radiated bright. the other customers all seem to be men in the city for business. everyone seemed to enjoy his meal. the prices are reasonable.

That was our second time we're eating here. again eating was really good, with a good selection of dressed. the terrace and the tables in the garden are very pleasant.

this restaurant gave the best meal that I had in days in Spanish and Portuguese. beautiful helpful staff, one of whom was called from the kitchen to speak English. cheap as chips and taste factor from the skala. was a carafe house wine and as we liked the onepot so much, they gave us a refill free. I loved this place. local great food for locals. use it.

My wife had the hindsight of asking a local old woman where to had the local experience we followed the directions into a backroad near the center. The placed seem inviting and bustling with many customers at the time), so we saw it...as good sign, and entered the place without much hesitations around We were very well handled despite the (many) customers, they were helpful, and answered well our questions about the food. We were served by a woman, and a man, the owner, I think, which also asked us if everything was ok. Wifey had roasted pork (Porco assado), I had feijoada transmontana (red beans with different kinds of meat+rice), both very typical dishes. Mine was done quite well, her rice was a bit undercooked. We also had desserts, I had Portuguese Flan (pudim c/ ovos), she had a kind of local pudding made with the whites of the eggs. Mine tasted better. The bill was nothing out of ordinary either and was correct, we asked to take out something we did not eat, and it was correctly handed. We have seen higher bills with much worse and service; we paid around euros each for food+drinks+dessert. We will definitively come back. Tip: come early, the house seems full at around Ask for Portuguese Ham and/or cheese for starters. Be sure to be hungry, as the food can be a bit on the heavy side.

Writing this i already miss it. The Arroz à Valenciana at sunday lunch is epic. The staff is very good, nice and efficient and the food is delicious and at a normal price range. Good wine list, and overall a good place for family events.
