Restaurante O Alcaide em Alvor

Food was good service excellent, my husband ordered salmon and I ordered chicken in pepper sauce both were beautiful but I got two tiny slices of chicken it wouldnt fill a child , I was still hungry and this should not happen I had starter , I normally have one course in. Restaurant , the amount of chicken wouldn't have made a sandwich , will learn a lesson ask for sauce on the side , the salmon was a big portion and beautiful , service very good , one of the nicest meals In alvor pity about portion size .

we stumbled on this precious stone by walking on a side street in alvor. I couldn't believe our happiness! authentic Portuguese cuisine in one of the oldest buildings in the city. friendly and charming server that was fluent in English, and went out of her way to make our experience unforgettable. artistic presentation of the food and portions very generous. go out of their way to experience this restaurant when they are in the region.

always a pleasure to eat here and with our friend isabel eating is always fresh and beautiful served a real jewel in alvor.

The restaurant is tucked away down a side street, but well worth seeking out. We went twice to eat here as it was so good! Reasonable prices and exceptional quality of all food. Very friendly, attentive service from Isabel and Nicole.

Fantastic food, Isobel is a fabulous host and all of the ladies work so hard to make your O Alcaide experience a memorable one.
