Restaurante Windsurf Praia de Alvor em Alvor

a big, nice little piece ordered, it came completely raw. waiter and manager then tried to accuse us and said we should have said earlier. didn't make any difference because I didn't eat anything. such a scandal that they have ruined such a nice, cosily piece of laugh. deteriorated from bad service.

meu homem e eu visitamos este restaurante há vários anos com reclamações absolutas (ver comentários anteriores), no entanto, esta foi a nossa primeira visita por cobiça. ficamos de pé e esperamos ser reconhecidos e sentados, não havia outros clientes sentados, de pé e de pé, enquanto os trabalhadores nos observavam e continuavam a conversar, nem é preciso dizer, saímos e fomos para outro lugar. Eu realmente não tenho certeza do que aconteceu com este restaurante, os comentários parecem ter um tema em execução, é muito decepcionante, pois este era um pequeno restaurante fabuloso de cada vez.

booked a table for 8 watches, very rudely ignored us for 50 minutes then finally came with posture and asked us what we wanted. we decided to go on this point. the restaurant was not even busy and they seemed to reserve all the others, but to us . not sure when it was because we were English and were all Portuguese. to read from other commentary it seems to be recurring. can not comment on eating because we don't drink or drink. I've been with alvor many times and have never experienced anything like that. the other restaurants were so friendly and welcoming. we were as shocked as they were rude.

we were in a local hotel and that was eating you. we drove up the boardwalk along the beach and found this little place. we were as happy as eating was fantastic, there is a gent here that seems to lead the place and when they watch him prepare as tables and his love to clarify detail is amazing. even clean the decking under the tables, the bambus mat on the table and of course everything else. even the placement of the table setting was carried out with care. in one of our visits, a customer suffered a bit under the sun at the arm, who went to the nest and got another section of the sunshade and tied him carefully so that they would not have sun on their poor. great! the seafoods were divine and I must admit to having a spaghetti blognone a time or two ( visited several times) and that was as good as anyone I had in rom. the garlic bread was world class. crunchy with a tonne garlic. amazing location

Absolutely terrible service, I visit Alvor 2/3 times a year and I have been to some amazing restaurants for food and drinks. We called at the Windsurf for some drinks and possibly food. We walked in and headed to an empty table as there were...plenty to choose from. The waiter shouted across the restaurant “can I help you “ we said we would like a table for 2 , he totally dismissed us and said you can’t sit here if you only want drinks, you are only allowed in if you are having food. We would have accepted that if the same rule applied to all customers however it didn’t as clearly many people were sat having drinks with no food. The waiter was so rude. I will not return and I will continue to share my feedback with all my family and friends who all spend a great deal of time in Alvor. To add to the horrendous experience some friends of ours were in the restaurant and when we left the table we asked to sit at was given to Portuguese girls who only ordered drinks. Clearly this restaurant doesn’t want English customers!!

The restaurant is one of several restaurant on the beach in Alvór. High score because of the good food and the friendly staff, that did the outmost to accommodate for us and the baby trolley during a busy lunch service. We had grilled sardines, chicken...piripiri, spaghetti carbonara and a kid meny chicken nuggets. The fish was fresh and very tasty, the chicken piripiri bery well prepared, the spaguetti was ok (like most pasta dishes not prepared by Italian restaurants), and our 3,5 year old daughter enjoyed her nuggets. Salad to share came alongside the dishes. And…the feeling of enjoying fresh food (and a cold beer) on the beach during a sunny day in Alvór…priceless!

Back after 3 years......seems like yesterday since we were here last, the place is timeless, friendly, great food, and Draught San Miguel to quench one 's thirst...lovely location. Been coming here for years, and hopefully a few more. Morgans

I have previously review this restaurant and credited it as my husbands favourite fish soup place to go to for lunch. However when we visited last summer with our family of 7, we were totally ignored in favour of Portuguese guests, and with a one...year old it was a long wait....... The owner is not friendly at all, but previously i just put this down to his personality rather than take offence. Our food arrived, and was eaten, but the jug of Sangria we ordered still 30 minutes later had not arrived, when i finally managed to get his attention, as it was obviously he was ignoring us, he said we could leave and take it to the beach with us ....... When i said it really wasn't acceptable and we didn't want to take it to the beach, he then started shouting at me that i was not a regular, i did not come every week and to leave. So i may not go every week but during the 8-10 weeks i spend in Alvor a year probably did go 2-3 times a week. So unfortunately for Windsurf, Quinas 5 will now be receiving our custom, rather than splitting between the two.
