This restaurant has a beautiful ambiance but we were unimpressed with the service. We were the only diners indoors to start and were left alone, initially without menus, for a very long time, and then same again to have our orders taken, and not checked up on after receiving the food. The food took a very long time to arrive, then we felt that we were being rushed to finish and leave as our allotted time to use the table was up, even though the delays were all as a result of the service. The food itself was tasty and the portions are very large. Not a good place for vegetarians however as the vegetarian in our group was just given some rice and vegetables and overcharged for the privilege. Overall, the food and ambiance were lovely but the service let the place down.

That was really one of the best meals of my life, we eat a lot. Service was excellent. The restaurant interior was decorated like a wine barrel, looked attractive. My wife's daughter had garlic shrimps that were perfectly cooked, tasted fantastic even though I didn't like garlic! I had octopus with octopus rice, which was delicious. Wine was excellent prices were appropriate. A total of 5 stars.

Wonderful little restaurant that was recommended to us. Great location to watch the world go by and eat amazing food. So glad we waited for a table to become available, well worth the wait! Despite being very busy the staff manage the guests with care and attention and humour! Thank you!

This place came up on my research when looking for restaurants in Porto. Without a doubt go here- even if you have to queue! In a gorgeous little setting up a side street. Our waiter couldn’t have been more pleasant. Recommended great wine and food. The grilled tiger prawns were … just…. WOW! The salt cod narcisa style eas also fantastic. We managed to get in for a early dinner around 6.30pm and within 30 mins a queue was already forming. The orange pie for desert so also a win!

Fantastic all around! Family had our first night dinner here and it was outstanding. Bar is set high… We had no reservations and had to wait about an hour but they accommodated the five of us nonetheless. And it was well worth the wait. Cod fritters were fried nicely and slightly chewy. Sardines were outstanding. So flavorful. My wife and young kids loved them. Our entrees were really well done. Wife had prawns in garlic sauce. Flavored well and just a touch of spice. Kids all had octopus two had grilled and the other fried and both dishes were excellent. The grilled was superb melt in your mouth tender. I had grilled cod and it too was excellent. The views of the river are the really wonderful. And the service was friendly and helpful. Complimentary port with dessert was a nice touch. A wonderful place worthy of all the accolades. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a fabulous and a niche place. So, you need to be patient when you walk in. The food is simply amazing and the wine also is superlative!

Extremely rude staff, lovely setting but I would not bother trying as there are so many other lovely places in Porto and they really let themselves down with their attitude sadly.
