La Piazza em SANTA BARBARA DE NEXE

Have been coming here for years and it never fails to live up to its quirky reputation. If you are in a rush to eat then this is not for you. The staff are attentive and friendly , the kitchen can be overworked but always worth waiting for. If you like Tuna then this is the place to have a steak. Entertainment is good old family fun with singer . Hardly the next Ed Sheeran but sings all the anthem classics and gets you all involved. Thanks once again for a fun evening and see you next year.

I ate with my daughter and we sat outside in a sort of tree covered, fairy lit grotto, which might not sound great, but is very pretty indeed. There was a singer on who sang quietly in the background and so the setting and atmosphere are lovely. We were served quickly and efficiently and all of the waiters/waitresses were very polite, attentive and friendly. We also had a pair of brilliant mocktails! If the food was good, I would definitely come back...My daughter had a pizza, which was undercooked so the base was chewy and anaemic looking. I had a special of mushroom risotto. The specials were told to me verbally so I didn't know how much it would be so I was shocked when I was charged 16 euros for a pleasant, but no more than that, risotto. For the money we paid I would always, always go to Alagoas instead in future. Shame.

After travelling from UK we didn't want to cook so walked out 1km to la piazza. Great atmosphere, on point staff and excellent food. We are and drank too much but will be returning next Saturday with the rest of the family. Al fresco dining at it's best.

We got 4 take away pizzas between 5 of us and they were all eaten with relish...delicious! My only regret is not going back for a meal.

Ate here on a Thursday night. Firstly food was excellent. Well cooked and authenticity Italian. Service was friendly, although restaurant was very busy so not as fast as we would have liked. Can't understand have done with a couple more front of house staff. Worth the wait though, just about ;-) Wine also very good. Price was a little high for the Algarve, although not silly. Overall well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Lovely setting, friendly staff, delicious food, My Husband said the rack of lamb was easily one of the best meals he had eaten. Definitely going back.

Friendly staff but food was pretty pedestrian. My wife had seafood risotto which was tasty but the prawns were "sair done' which is quite an achievement in a risotto! The rest of us had various pizzas but nothing to write home about; less gloop and more taste would have been good. With 2 starters, 1 beer and three soft drinks the bill came to €60 plus; pretty expensive for what it was. Still the restaurant was packed mainly with English parties so they must be getting it right for some.

We had two very enjoyable evenings here. The food was good (made by a very friendly Italian chef) and the surroundings very attractive with their plant covered area outside... a lovely surprise that cannot be seen from the road. There was live music three times a week, and we were able to come to one of these evenings which was a lot of fun - Many of us joined in the singing and dancing. Our other evening there was also good, though rather quieter - But the staff and chef were all great and made us feel very welcome. We would certainly come back again if we visited another time!
