Great food! You have to be quite hungry to eat all the food. Paid 100 Euros for a dinner for 4 adults and a 7 years child.

This place is a little gem you cannot fault it. The food and quality and quality is superb. We were introduced to this by our friends in Portugal and always go back when in the area.

Food is excellent and quantities enormous! House wine is good! The best is stuffed squids, just incredible! Thanks again for this wonderful lunch...

We went because of the reviews and were very disappointed. Yes it is a traditionsl Portuguese restaurant, so don't expect anything imaginative. But my husband's pork chops were seriously over-cooked, he could not finish them. My fish was ok...grilled fish with a humongous pile of fries. I thought I was making a friendly comment when I said "that was a lot of food" to the son as I paid the bill. He openly grimaced which seemed odd, and then even odder when he did not give me the correct change. I had to call him back to the counter. An honest mistake?Y

I have eaten at many restaurants in both Spain and Portugal but this is amongst the best I have experienced and located in a small unimpressive village, Vila do Bispo on route to Sagres. Even though we were very close to their closing time they made us most welcome. The men folk ordered Sea Bass the women Salmon and Swordfish. The portions were huge served with chips and a large salad to share comprising lettuce tomatoes and onions. I have to say my Swordfish was huge, the finest I have tasted and cooked to perfection. Do not miss the opportunity to savour this restaurant.

we arrived Sagres from faro airport after being transported by faroairporttransfersalgarve.com. Excelent company. The Tasca Careca is a very tipical portuguese restaurant with good wine and food. recommended

This Restaurant is tucked away in Vila Do Bispo and from the outside is quite unassuming. The restaurant is small and soon fills with locals so don't arrive too late. The food is simple but absolutely stunning, the stuffed Squid is a must and the "dose" of Prawns are a delight. The food takes a little while to come through but just sit back and soak up the ambiance while enjoying a glass or two of the House red. I must mention the service which was very good and helped us to avoid ordering too much food - the Portuguese portions are very generous, enjoy!
