We had rice with seafood and perceves (300gr) and both were very tasty and good por the price. I highly recommend this place for this two dishes.
We went there for dinner, both had a fish of the day (dorado & salmon). Food was good but nothing special. Service was less: had to wait around 15min for our bill. But price-quality this place is okay!
Very friendly restaurant with tasty local food. The pork ribs were amazing ....... best we've had in the Algarve. Reasonably priced and would highly recommend a visit.

Went there for a family lunch. Asked for grilled sea bass, fish cataplana and monkfish rice. The sea bass was nice, the cataplana needed some more taste on the fish. The big issue was the rice. We asked for monkfish rice and it was delivered...More
Being a restaurant in a village like VILA DO BISPO is not easy with so many great restaurants around. This Palheiro is nice, but comparing with Tasca do careca, Cafe Correia or Poço da Ribeira has a lot to learn ...
Pretty bad service, had to wait a solid half before they let us know they didn't have the wine we chose. Meals arriving out of sync, they didn't have cold water?!? Food was below average for Portuguese standards, but the worse was definitely everything taking hours to get to the table, despite the waitresses excuses. There are so many amazing restaurants in Vila do Bispo, I'm surprised O Palheiro gets away with this terrible service. Not coming back.
...an hour after finishing. 3 of us shared a shellfish rice and a salad. There was a whole crab, several large mussels and loads of clams in a very tasty sauce with rice. A bottle of very passable BSE (really) white wine, a coke, bottle of water, 2 bicas and a free almond liquor for €47. The owner and his family were very friendly and there was footie on the telly.
