Soul food is the best way I can describe the food. I ordered the grilled squid with greens and garlic pork chop with fries. Both were delicious and its so cheap. Highly recommend.

Eating is okay, and is really cheap. that means the service here is not great. we needed a long time to serve us, and when we did, it was bad.
a small family restaurant located in a former marine chef, is a best option, while in porto. all dishes were delicious and quite expensive. all in all, a beautiful surprise.
eat well enough! our waiter wasn't the best, maybe she had a bad day, but she wasn't friendly or happy with us. the service was ok. Do not eat the garnel rissois, they have nothing inside. the flesh was rissois, and please don't eat the bôla, it was extremely fat and not good. the espadal was beautiful and we all had the cordon blue, and it was good. the rice was also good, the French pommes could be better and the sweet was cold and greasy. will come back to try other things, the price was good.
we arrived on Valentine's Day in porto and decided to eat in this restaurant based on tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. the menu was, I think, a reduced version of their normal menu because of the date, but there was still a lot of choice....We had the appetizers that appear in most Portuguese restaurants, two 375 ml of karaffe wein, 2 small bottles of sparkling mineral water, a generous steak in cream sauce, a grilled salmon steak that had fed two people only, a large the place fluctuated with natives, we were the only non-Portuguese eating there) with some late commanders standing on a table for up to half an hour, which is recommended in my book as much as you want. the workers spoke little English, but as I speak some Portuguese, this was not an insurmountable problem. all in all I can recommend this as a great place to eat.
This place is only a few minutes walk from my apartment and already had good reviews on here so thought I would try it. That was a month ago and I have now been 4 times! Good service and tasty food. So far Steak 5...peppers is my favourite (steak with pepper sauce and lots of fried sliced potatoes). I will be back again soon!
