I really liked this place. visited it several times during our stay. great for a quick break on a sunny day. good coffee and even better eating, really loved with chorizo.
the restaurant is over and it was packed. so decided to delete anyway. wait wasn't long. we had bolo do caco with garlic butter and cheese. soou yummy.
amazing eating! we ate mixed burgers and it was soou good. brot is so fresh and it was super delicious. no wonder this place has tripadvisor certificate from excellense. when they are in madeira: go here! the little slow service, but at many places in...madeira they have slow service, so maybe this is just the way in this island:D. and they are in a vacation, why hurry? recommended!
this house is an already excellent tripadvisor place and I need to know why: it has simply a delicious opportunity, meat steaks (vegans also find options here) in a special brot madeiran type (bolo do caco). I went there during my stay. at least because you can't get enough of it! this brotart becomes the same time we order, and they can choose the ingredients to stuff it. it is a great traditional food that you can eat at any time. highly recommended!
We came there times during the week. Very good and inexpensive. Don't hesitate if you are in the area.
Visited for lunch after seeing all the great reviews on trip advisor. Service was poor, sat inside the eatery and it was messy and felt unclean. Food was tasty however!
The perfect place to grab a quick lunch and watch the world go by. The sandwiches are traditional and delicious. The garlic butter is just incredible!
Assumed it would be a bit of a tourist trap with its central location but it was so tasty! The vinho d’alhos dish is a Christmas dish (that has been adapted into vindaloo) that’s so delicious sandwich between fresh bread slices. Super succulent pork, garlic,...wine and aromatic herbs all shine through beautifully. So tasty and filling could have shared between two. And only
