Wishing only a light dinner, we sat outside the Grand Cafe and ordered two salads, my wife’s Parma ham and melon, mine seafood. Both were excellent in quantity and quality. The service was a little slow.

had a nice visit, the staff was perfectly dressed in white uniforms, eating was good and not bad price. there is also a large selection at desserts.
this was used to eat one of our favorite places, not cheap, but eating and the great staff were worth it. Once again the pandemic has met! Many of the employees have gone together with the chef and the chef/manager. was good for snacks, or fine eating on the balcony, but the balcony never seems to be open anymore. the foods are not of the same quality, although the prices seem to have increased? another occasional visit for bolo do caco or a cake and coffee, but not a regular keep more worth.
We stopped for lunch and there were absolutely no complaints, the food was well presented and the staff very professionally dressed and very attentive. It's strange how the condition of the toilets often becomes a topic of conversation, normally invoked by the other half, but on this occasion it's worthy of a mention that the gents was extremely clean. As you take in the sites and the passers by as you enjoy your meal outside you soon realise that you are probably sat at the original ocean gate to what was I presume a barron island in times gone by. Alas no more, as the free covid testing station for your return passage green lane exit from the airport is just outside!.
